PURPOSE – This instrument is used for performing washing steps of microtitre plates for ELISA procedure.  

LOCATION – Dengue lab

OPERATION -
  1. Put the power switch on.
  2. Stat fax 2600 appears on the screen. It also shows VAOFF Pre5.0.
  3. After this only washer starts.
  4. Put the plate on the washer platform.
  5. Press rinse button. Press yes.
  6. Press prime. Press yes.
  7. Press <yes> to Prog run.
  8. Press yes.
  9. Enter programme number. For Dengue select programme no 6 (5 washes) for NIV Kit. Press yes.
  10. After the washing is over, take out the plate & put the switch off.
  11. After completion of washing, rinse the washer with distils water three times to avoid blockage of the channels.
  12. If there is any spillage clean with 70% ethanol, wipe with cotton.
MAINTENANCE:
  • If any surface has been contaminated with biohazardous material, clean with gauze piece soaked with 70% ethanol.
  • DO NOT USE ANY SOLUTIONS CONATINING HYPOCHLORITE, SUCH AS BLEACH ON ANY OF THE STAINLESS STEEL SURFACES, AS THIS MAY CAUSE PERMAMNENT DAMAGE.
  • Clean the outer surface of the washer with dry & clean plain cloth everyday before and after the procedure.
  • Ensure that the waste bottle is emptied regularly and at least every time when a reagent bottle is loaded.
  • If only a part of plate is to be washed the correct button is selected to cover the last row to be washed.
  • Ensure that all the wells of micro titer plate are at the same level and also ensure that sufficient amount of wash buffer is present in the wash bottle to complete the required washes.
  • Tips of the wash head should be at 1.5-2mm above the height of the micro titer plate on the plate carrier, when the wash head is in raised position if there is any doubt in the position, inform the authority immediately.
  • After the washing is over, rinse the wash head twice with distil water to prevent any clogging of channel and make sure that all the channels are patent.
  • Keep the washer covered with washer cover when not in use.

  1. Operate the instrument gently.
  2. Do not use the instrument without a basic knowledge of its operation.
  3. For any kind of electrical problem inform the section in charge immediately.
  4. Do not modify or change any program
